Plagiarism Policy

The journal expects all authors to submit work that is entirely original and properly acknowledges the contributions of other researchers through accurate citation and referencing.

Plagiarism in any form is considered a serious violation of publication ethics. This includes, but is not limited to, direct copying of text without appropriate quotation or citation, substantial reproduction of another person’s ideas, data, figures, tables, or research findings without acknowledgment, mosaic or patchwork plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, and the submission of work produced wholly or substantially by others as the author’s own.

All manuscripts submitted to Formazione, lavoro, persona may be screened using plagiarism detection software and other editorial assessment methods before being sent for peer review and again, if necessary, during the editorial process. The editorial office evaluates the similarity report carefully, recognizing that legitimate overlap may occur in references, methodological descriptions, commonly used terminology, or properly quoted material. The final assessment is based on both the similarity findings and editorial judgment regarding the nature and extent of the overlap.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited, that quoted material is clearly identified, and that permissions are obtained where required for the use of copyrighted or previously published material. Proper attribution must be provided for all ideas, data, illustrations, and textual content derived from other works.

The journal also considers self-plagiarism or redundant publication to be unethical. Authors should not submit manuscripts that have been published previously, are under consideration elsewhere, or substantially overlap with their own published or submitted work without transparent disclosure and appropriate justification. Any related publications or submissions must be disclosed to the editorial office at the time of submission.

If plagiarism or significant unattributed overlap is identified during the review process, the manuscript may be rejected immediately and returned to the authors with an explanation of the concerns. If such issues are discovered after publication, the journal may take appropriate corrective actions, including the publication of a correction, expression of concern, or retraction of the article, depending on the severity of the violation.

Reviewers and editors who suspect plagiarism are encouraged to report their concerns confidentially to the editorial office, which will investigate the matter in accordance with accepted principles of publication ethics and editorial best practices. Authors will be given an opportunity to respond to any allegations before a final decision is made.
